About Refuge Tulsa
Refuge Tulsa was founded with a passion for creating a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals to come together as a community and build healing fulfilling relationships. We exist to support families as they navigate marriage, parenting, and overcoming trauma through counseling and other supports. Our team is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and guiding others towards a deeper relationship with God. With a focus on love, compassion, and faith, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of all who walk through our doors.
Mission: To develop a Christ-Centered community that lives out Jesus commandments to Love the Lord God with all your heart soul and mind, and to Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40)
Vision: To be seen as repairers of broken things, showing hope to the hopeless, love to the loveless, and light in the darkness.
Beliefs: We believe in the Nicene Creed as the foundation of our faith, in the celebration of the Eucharist, the benefits of living our life in spiritual rhythms with Christ, in praying according to Jesus example in the Lords prayer, in the power of confession, and in the relational nature of God and man that dictates our need for a relationship with Christ and a Christ-Centered community.
NICENE CREED:
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father; God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God; begotten not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate. He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again, in fulfillment of the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
